Here are the step by step instructions how to cook garlic and butter -flavoured mashed potatoes:
Fill up medium-sized pot with 3/4 water, bring to boil and salt to taste. Rinse one or two bay leaves and add to boiling water together with a generous sprinkle of garlic powder.
While you are waiting for the water to boil, peel off 4 large potatoes and slice them.

Heat 1/4 cup of milk until it starts boiling. Add this boiling milk to the bowl with potatoes and mash potatoes until nice and smooth.
