What’s for dinner tonight? Well, I am going to make turkey meatballs over rice and that would be served with my freshly made garlic flavoured coleslaw. You can’t feel the smell of this coleslaw from these pictures. But it is absolutely amazing! The veggies are so crunchy and mouthwatering. You must try this out!
Garlic Flavoured Coleslaw

Serves: 4-5
Crunchy coleslaw with garlic and a bit of heated oil
Ingredients
- Shredded white cabbage, 7-8 cups
- 2 medium carrots, grated
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 2 Tbsp neutral flavour-free oil (i.e. grapeseed or canola)
- 1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
- Place the shredded cabbage in a large bowl
- Sprinkle with salt
- With clean hands squeeze the cabbage until juices release
- Add more salt if needed
- Add grated carrots
- Stir well
- In the middle of this coleslaw spoon all chopped garlic in one spot
- In the non-stick frying pan, heat up the oil (do not overheat!)
- Pour hot oil over the garlic (you will hear the sizzling sound)
- Stir the coleslaw very well.
