Hot meal idea for under 5 minutes.
Whenever I am in a rush and have no time to thaw meats, I use this quick method.
Take extra-firm tofu, gently squeeze out excess water using a paper towel. Slice tofu to desired thickness.
Heat up 1 tbsp of cooking oil (I used grapeseed oil as it has no smell) in a frying pan. When hot, place tofu slices and sprinkle with a pinch of garlic powder and ginger powder.
Pour 1/2 tsp sesame oil (optional for more flavour).
Last step: pour a bit of soy sauce over each slice. After 1 minute of frying, turn each slice and cook the other side for a minute until the golden colour is reached.
Serve with rice, veggies or whatever you have handy. I had stir-fried cabbage left from last night’s dinner. It was really good.
